Due to the Cottonwood Heights PD having incompetent police officers, I was pulled over for a traffic violation, which then led to the officer arresting me for a DUI because I had my medical marijuana vaporizer that I legally bought at a dispensary in Salt Lake City with my LEGAL medical marijuana card on my person at the time. Cottonwood Heights PD tried to charge me with a DUI, despite me not failing the field sobriety tests that are designed for substances rather than alcohol and my urine sample (couldn’t get a blood draw after they tried three, different times once being a vein in my ankle) coming back with no active metabolites, as well as a possession charge and I was booked in jail for 8 hours on top of everything. I did extensive research on reliable lawyers. I ended up choosing Joshua Egan because of his knowledge and certifications on a vast range of courses on Utahs medical marijuana laws, regulations, etc. Not only that, but he was also the only lawyer out of 8 that I spoke to who took the initiative to send in forms to the DLD for my license hearing before the 10 day deadline without him knowing if I was even going to hire him as my attorney. Long story short..Joshua got the DUI and possession charges dropped and the only thing I had to plead guilty for was a traffic violation infraction. I can say Joshua truly cares for his clients and strives to achieve the best outcome. He goes the lengths for you and will treat you with empathy and respect. I will wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone and everyone any chance I can get. I honestly cannot thank Joshua enough as these last 6 months dealing with this case has been extremely stressful, Joshua kept me at ease the entire time.
