This New Year’s holiday, if you get your party on a bit more than you intended, consider this alternative to driving home while being drunk or impaired to any degree:
AAA offers free rides home on New Year’s Eve!
You don’t have to be an AAA member to use the service. As long as the ride is within 10 miles and within the operating times of 6:00 p.m. December 31st and 6:00 a.m. January 1st, they’ll take you, your vehicle, and as many passengers as will fit in the tow truck safely home as a community safety service to people in Utah, Northern California, and Nevada. Consider pre-programming the number 800-222-4357 (AAA-HELP) into your phone if you think you or someone you’ll be with might need a ride home in these areas. When you call, just tell the AAA operator, “I need a Tipsy Tow,” and they will dispatch a tow truck post haste.
Even though we defend drunk drivers in the legal system, we at Schatz, Anderson & Associates really want everyone to be safe when driving our roads anytime, but especially around the holidays.

I love how the website says you can’t make reservations! You just know that’s a question they’ve encountered more than once. *chuckle*)
