On October 20, 2012 the Utah Highway Patrol will be conducting an administrative checkpoint in Tooele County, along with the Tooele County Sheriff’s Department. This checkpoint will be conducted on I-80 in the area of mile post three. According to law, a jurisdictional authorized plan will be available at the site of the administrative checkpoint and will be maintained on file for one year. You may obtain a copy of the plan by contacting the UHP office in Tooele.
In a much broader notice, the Division of State Parks and Recreation announced that, along with other law enforcement agencies, it will be conducting Administrative Traffic Checkpoints in Duchesne and Uintah Counties throughout the fall months (main cities of Vernal, Roosevelt, and Duchesne). The primary purpose of the checkpoints is to promote the safe operation of motor vehicles and off-highway vehicles and ensure compliance with applicable laws. The notice was published in the Vernal Express on September 26, October 3 and 10, 2012.
